Muskellunge Lake is located in the Village of Trufant, Montcalm County, Michigan. The lake covers 134 acres and its maximum depth is 37 feet. Fish species include bluegill, sunfish, yellow perch, black crappie, largemouth bass, northern pike, stocked walleye, bullhead, rock bass and dogfish - no muskellunge though.
High speed boating hours are between the hours of 11:00am and 7:30pm, for boater safety and to give fisherman calm, quiet evening waters in which to enjoy their sport. The lake is patrolled by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) and the Montcalm County Sheriff Department.
The MDNR has provided a public boat launch for visitors to enjoy our lake. PLEASE follow posted rules, safe boating practices and thoroughly wash off the hull of your watercraft, clean out livewells and clean off your trailer before bringing it to our public access to prevent the introduction of aquatic invasive species to this beautiful body of water.
